Our clinic is run by volunteers and our services are in extremely high demand due to our affordable prices. We usually operate once a week and we target pet parents who have kindly taken in an abandoned cat! This is NOT a clinic for people who purchased a cat and just want to save some money.
Incorporated in 2000 as a 501 (c) 3 charity, we rely on volunteers and no one on our team has ever received a salary. Donations go directly to helping animals who need us. This picture shows a giant umbilical hernia that was repaired at the time of the cat's spay surgery.
We focus on preventing cat overpopulation, but in doing so we often encounter cats that have become homeless, so our clinic also shares space with a small cat shelter. This kitty was trapped in a waste facility and is learning to trust humans!
We have a few fabulous volunteers who foster dogs in need as space allows. They come from private surrenders, municipal animal control officers, and sometimes from people who adopted from an organization that won't take them back when something happens (often it's an inter-dog conflict). They have even come from other rescues that are having trouble managing some challenging behaviors. The dogs get LOTS of exercise, socialization, and training in good manners by WAG: Balanced Pack Life LLC. Then they are placed in carefully screened homes that are actually a good match for them.
